I chose this over the other floto duffle bag for 2 things: the zipper is NOT nylon, but brass, hence it would see me through to my last days. The other reason is that the craftsmanship is superb, not a stitch astray, all in perfect symmetry. In other words, this is a well-made and classy bag, similar if not better than those Louis Vuittons. I made the mistake of checking this bag in once at the airport as I was tired of carrying it (I am 54 yrs old, 5'2" and about 125 lb.) So of course the leather got rubbed the wrong way (no pun) but still looks like it gracefully aged (again, no pun). If I were to buy this again, with my height and stature, I recommend getting the one with wheels. Not that the leather is heavy, in fact it is not. But I am just a tired old woman in between flights, is all.
